To reach other network providers located in other Telx facilities in the same metro area, Telx provides end-to-end connections using SONET/SDH, TDM and Ethernet transport solutions. Telx manages its own optical transport platform delivering the widest range of services built on top of a dark fiber network that is diversely routed through each key Telx facility to ensure the highest availability. Services can be ordered in any of the following speeds and protocols including: DS1, DS3, OC3 to OC-192, 10/100 Mb Ethernet, and 1G/10G Ethernet. And depending on network requirements, customers can choose unprotected or protected configurations.
For convenience, customers are not required to sign up for extended contract terms and receive only one invoice for all services. This way it’s much easier to manage contract terms for cross connects and track expenses associated with using the metro cross connect platform. In addition, Telx is responsible for keeping your connected network fully operational and handles all technical support.
